Rim Doctor was established in Sept 2007. The Owner, Marc Liptak, owned and operated another successful business at the time when one of his employees mentioned that they curb a rim and there was no one around to fix it. Being an openminded entrepreneur, Marc called several dealerships in the area and no one could give him a name of someone who could repair rims.
Marc took to the internet looking for companies that would help him establish a rim repair business in the Polk county area. He soon teamed up with Paul Daly from Oswego, NY, who owns a successful rim repair business in that area. Paul agreed to teach Marc the rim repair business and help him launch it in the central Florida market.
Rim Doctor has now been in business for over 12 years and services over 20 dealerships throughout central Florida area. We also service many of the tire companies who need our expertise in repairing of rims. Not to mention the hundreds of car owners who we have fixed rims for.
In 2014 we move into 2,000sqft commercial building to start offering more services to help with our customers. Repairs that not only included cosmetic repairs but a full line of repairs.
The owner of the company, Marc Liptak, is a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy in marine engineering. He has work for several large corporations which include General Dynamics, Polaroid Corp., and Tyco Healthcare before launching his own business in 2007. Marc is also a 10-year veteran of the Navy reserves reaching the rank of Lt. Commander.
